- Why wasn't Marshall a university for 100 years of its history?
- Why does it have the highest density of HIV cases in the state?
- How many rhodes scholars has Marshall produced? Last I checked, only 6 public universities in the country have more than WVU.
- Know why you are in West Virginia? Every college bound student in the state of New York has to take an entrance test and if they don't score a certain score on this entrance test they are not allowed into any state-supported universities because the demand is so high. So naturally they are going to have to travel to super-awesome schools like Marshall just to go to college. And I'm just wondering why someone from New York wouldn't go to a New York State University? And would rather drive 7+ hours to southwestern West Virginia for a mediocre education.
